25 Weeks!!

Sorry, no picture this week unless I take one tomorrow and post! But the belly is getting bigger!!

How far along: 25 Weeks and a few days!! Geez, I thought for sure I'd be in the third tri-mester now, but nooo, still in the second...don't know when that change will take place. But still...Over 6 Months!!! Woot Woot!

We still have an Eggplant this week, about 9.2 inches and 2 pounds!

What I've Learned from What to Expect: My uterus is now 2.5 inches above my belly button...they keep saying you can feel it, but I have no idea what the heck they are talking about. I don't know what it would feel like, so if any of you seasoned mommas know, get me some insight!
They also mention that the belly button will start to pop...I think I might have a little freak out moment when it actually happens.
LB's retina is developed and she now opens her eyes on occasion. They mentioned doing the flashlight trick again, so I will try that out and she if she reacts. She also is suppose to respond to noises now. She getting so big!

Total weight gain/loss:  4 pounds!! I blame part of that on all the Easter Candy we had at work!!

Stretch marks: No new ones.

Sleep: Good golly!! Sleep use to be easy and now its really hard!! Still getting up and peeing all the time. But now my belly is getting so big that I need Mike to push me over so I can roll over or get off the bed. A couple of nights ago, I felt like I ripped and pulled every muscle that is still there. My dreams aren't as angry lately so that's a good thing, but they are completely random...which is pretty much what they were before Little Bit came around...lasts nights dream, I had gotten home a little late 11:30ish and Mike around midnight, he gave me a ticket that he saw on my windshield and when I read it, it was for having red boots that were a danger to species! And the ticket was from Payne County.  Weird I know!

Best moment this week: Mike getting to feel her move!! He thinks anyway, it was just once so far!

Rick and Melanie coming in for Easter and visiting! It was fun getting to see the other set of grandparents and them getting to see my belly. They also loved the nursery.

Miss Anything: Still a Dr. Pepper...So, I was finally going to give in...I was at the bowling alley with work and the kiddos. We get small drinks and popcorn when we go...super small cups, like the small coffee 6-8 ounce cups. So I was thinking, I could get my Dr. Pepper fix with the small amount that actually goes in after all the ice. So, I get it, and I am so excited, and I drink it, and they didn't have the syrup combination correct so it was NO GOOD!! Dang it!

One other thing I miss...Being able to Sneeze freely!! I love sneezing, really one of my favorite things, well now, I either almost tinkle on myself or I feel like I pull every muscle in my stomach and lady parts!! Sorry it TMI! But its for real!

Movement: Yes, still below my belly button and still just feel like little pokes. Such a sweet feeling!  I just hope she continues to be gentle as she get more cramped in there!

Food cravings: Fruit, Nutella...I think thats really it...tonight though, I'm really excited for my Ice Cream!!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Remi's farts, and other random smells that I don't know where they come from.

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out: Innie, but looking kinda flat from the inside...

NEW QUESTION!! Most Ridiculous thing I've Cried about or gotten Upset about: I really think I should let Mike answer this question in the future, because I'm sure he has much better insight on this subject than I do! But I will tell on myself...I'm know I'm not a good house keeper and I definitely have a problem with putting my laundry away, so I've had a basket of clothes in our room for...forever! Well, I feel I had asked Mike for some help in getting my stuff put away. Well, the other night, I was headed to bed, Mike was doing some other stuff, and we had a great evening, and I don't really even know how it got brought up, but he mentioned that I live out of a basket...and with no pun intended, I became a basket case-crying that I didn't want to live out of a basket, and completely blew up on him. Thankfully he is forgiving for my craziness and loves me no matter what!!

Pregnancy Symptom: Boobs are huge. Lots of Back Pain. My nails are growing like crazy!! Legs are cramping. Wanting to nest. Peeing all the time! Difficulty breathing sometimes. Pregnancy Brain. I forget crap all the time!! Emotional. I notice my feet swelling occasionally, they do go back to normal after I take it easy. Taking it easy will be hard for me though, I have the need to be on the go and doing things.

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: I feel great and I have the mood swings, seems to be more often than I would like.

Looking forward to: Showers!!! One next weekend Woo Hoo

24 Weeks

How far along: 24 Weeks and a couple days!! 6 Months!! I was so excited to think I was in my third trimester, but I guess I have to finish out the week before I start the home stretch!
We have an Eggplant this week, about 9 inches and 1.7 pounds!
What I've Learned from What to Expect: My uterus is the size of a freaking soccer ball!!! Holy Smokes, I couldn't believe it when I read that! She's looking a little more pink because of the capillaries forming under her skin. LB's little nostrils are starting to open up allowing her to practice breathing...not real breaths yet, still the amniotic fluid. They also said that if Daddy puts his ear to the belly, that he may be able to hear her heart beat!

Total weight gain/loss:  1 pound

Maternity clothes: I love them, they are so comfortable! Any suggestions on a new question would be great here!

Stretch marks: No new ones.

Sleep: Has been rough!! Waking up at all hours of the night, sometimes for bathroom, sometimes I don't know the reason. I've been having 'Angry Dreams' lately doing a lot of yelling in my dreams with things and people I am frustrated with in real life. I really hope I don't blow up in real life with all my wonderful pregnancy hormones goin on! : /  I thought I read somewhere you were suppose to be having 'Good Dreams'! I need those!

Best moment this week: I'm starting to forget all the fun things that happen in the week...but I got a couple of decor items for her room and a glider! Get this, from Wally World for $150!! And it's comfortable!  It's a little small for Mike, but I think this is the first time I actually fit in a chair! Mike has found a rocker that he loves, so we will look into getting that for a nice chair for the living room.

I went to the doctor this week, Mike couldn't go because of work, but I got to see her modest little self again! She was covering her face, but waving her hands and wiggling her feet. I also got to hear her heart beat again. Love that sound.

Feeling her move!

Reading to her...and Remi and Nellie...it's so cute, I usually just go in there and start reading, and Remi makes her way in and lays down, and sometimes Nellie will come and sit by the door.

Miss Anything: Still a Dr. Pepper...weird! Wine :) and sleeping on my back!

Movement: YES!!! YIPPEE!!  It is fabulous! I feel her below my belly button and really on all side and in front. Little pokes here and there, sometimes more, sometimes less depending on what I've eaten. Monday, though, I started to freak myself out, because I hadn't felt her (it felt like all day). I knew earthing would be okay, but I had some first worry. Well that night as I was trying to sleep...I started feeling her like crazy. Silly little girl!

Food cravings: Nothing that I can really think of these past two weeks, but I'm sure there was something...

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing comes to mind

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out: Innie, but looking kinda flat from the inside...

Pregnancy Symptom: Boobs are huge, but Mike said they hadn't gotten bigger in the last week or so. Lots of Back Pain. My nails are growing like crazy!! Legs are cramping. Wanting to nest. Peeing all the time! Difficulty breathing sometimes. Pregnancy Brain has started to TAKE OVER!! It's awful, I am forgetting things all the time!! Emotional, not as bad as last week, but still spurts of random crying.

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy, then the hormones come on and so do the tears. Remember how I mentioned a while back, that with Baseball Season starting and Mike getting really busy at work...well I get pretty emotional that I am living the Married-single life.

Looking forward to: Going to Showers. Thinking of names---we have a short list, but nothing definite. Mike being able to feel her move. Seeing Grandma and Grandpa Evans this weekend!! Haven't seen them since Christmas!

23 Weeks

How far along: 23 Weeks and a couple days!!
We have an Ear of Corn this week, about 8.5 inches and 1.5 pounds!

So, I missed last weeks update, so I will try to include this from both weeks, but my wonderful preggo brain may not let me remember all the wonderful things.

What I've Learned from What to Expect: We can probably now be able to hear her heartbeat with a stethoscope!! Where do you get one of those, because her little thud-thud, thud-thud is music to my ears! She's developed blood vessel under her skin now, which last week they say she had a very red tint to her. Her little face is almost fully formed, but she's still transparent until she gets a little more fat on her bones. And she's is hearing all kinds of noises now and they said at 30 weeks she will be able to recognize and remember those noises, so once she's born she will recognize mommy and daddy's voice!

Total weight gain/loss: Last week  I had gained 1.5 lbs and this week I am still the same, so total is 1.5 pounds.
Maternity clothes: Yep, My good friend Jen donated her old maternity clothes to me and I've started wearing some of those and Amy told me she had some that she was gonna donate to me...I love it, it's like Christmas all the time!  I did go to Marshall's and got a couple of new shirts, they are maternity, but I just got a size bigger than normal for it fit around the belly and they are stretchy too. The shirt in the pic is a normal shirt.

Stretch marks: No new ones.

Sleep: Ugg! When I'm sleeping it still good, but I am getting up more frequently in the night to potty. Rolling out of bed (litterly) is exhausting, and I still will get the shortness of breath around bed time.  I'm staying up late still, I don't want too, it just happens, and with the time change (which I love!!) it's even harder for me because I feel I have more time than I really do. Also, I'm staying up reading WAY to late!! Dang Hunger Game series! :) I still sometimes find myself waking up on my back, which is now not comfortable, I have to start on my right side and then before I fall asleep, I have to move to my left side. I think I usually stay on my left for the rest of the night even when I come back from the little girls room.

Oh and I'm starting to get hungry in the middle of the night, great!

Best moment this week: LOTS!!

Okay, I mentioned the Anatomy Scan we had a couple of weeks ago...got the results back and everything came back clear and good!  So that was a wonderful blessing.

Realizing I was feeling her move!!

Registering!!---Although I wouldn't necessarily considerate a best moment in the moment!  Hormones have kicked in!! Mike might tell ya they did that a long time ago, but I truly feel in the last 2 weeks, I've been an emotional basket case at times. I worried it will just get worse.  But while we registered, I cried twice in the store and then boohooed when we got to the car. I was angry with Mike and he did absolutely nothing wrong. We can laugh about this now, but I was crazy in the store...Mike will say we (all women) are crazy, but he thinks I'm the least crazy thats why he picked me :)

But we did eventually get registered and Amy went back with me to help me get everything that Mike and I left off. We are dumb first-timers and had no clue what we were doing. The store staff asked several times if we needed help, we always said we were fine, but really had no clue.

I still read books to her in her room, Nellie and Remi usually join us too.
Getting some Showers scheduled!  I'm so excited!  The Grandma's are hosting one for us April 21st with our family and I have some friends that are hosting another one in June for our friends. We are truly blessed by our loved ones and this little girl is going to be so sticking spoiled!
Miss Anything: Still a Dr. Pepper...weird! Sometimes a Mountain Dew, Red Wine....who am I kidding, any wine :) and sleeping on my back!

Movement: YES!!! YIPPEE!!  In fact, I have been feeling her and just didn't realize it!  I missed the whole butterfly's feeling. It really just feels like when Mike pokes me, only coming from the inside! I thought this whole time it was just my stomach doing funny things. In fact, I'm feeling her right now. Love it, now I'm looking forward to when Mike will be able to feel her!
Food cravings: Nothing that I can really think of these past two weeks, but I'm sure there was something...
Anything making you queasy or sick: I watched this awful video of this CRAZY CRAZY stupid woman and CRAZY CRAZY Stupid parents doing "Baby Swinging" it was traumatizing!! This idiot thinks it's okay to just swing the baby literally ALL around by one arm, a leg, doing flips, sending the babe through her legs and that's okay!!  And these idiots allow her to do that with their own children...they are russian...oh and I saw a huge cock-roach in the bathroom at work...really made me to the wiggles!

Have you started to show yet: Yes, and I'm gonna take this question out next week and maybe add a  new one.

Emotional Basketcase!

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy, then the hormones come on and Jenny McCarthy has a fabulous chapter in her "Belly Laughs" book---'Psycho Chick' that describes it perfectly! By the way, if you haven't read the book, pregger or not , it's hystarical! I haven't read all of it yet, but it is super easy to read, chapters are only about 3-4 pages!

Looking forward to: Feeling LB move more! Going to Showers. Thinking of names---we have a short list, but nothing definite. Mike being able to feel her move. and Going to the doctor tomorrow, hopefully we will get to see her again!

Well there ya have it! I can't believe we only have 16 weeks left!! So crazy. I'm so excited to meet her! But I'm not saying I want her to come early ;)

21 Weeks!

Sorry for both, I felt the first showed my belly better, but I liked my face in the second one better, and please excuse the mess of the hair, I'm tired and pregnant :)

How far along: 21 Weeks and some!!
We have a Spaghetti Squash! About 8 inches and a Heavy Weight at 1 Pound!!!

What I've Learned from What to Expect: She's developing a sense of touch and is starting to grip things now...like the umbilical cord (maybe that's why I still have an innie :) ) And I guess she can now tell the difference between light and dark, I guess I should start shining a flashlight on my belly sometime...they said they actually react to that! Oh and she's getting more hair, has eyelashes, hopefully like her daddy's and eyebrows, hopefully not a bushy as her mommy's are right now!

Total weight gain/loss: Welp, last week I thought it was a 1/2 pound, but I'm back down again, so no weight gain!

Maternity clothes: I said I could still wear most my regular shirts last week, so this week I put on a shirt that I had worn last week and my belly was hanging out the bottom!!  The OSU shirt I have on in the pic is one of my favorites and I will be really sad if my belly hangs out the bottom of it soon.

Stretch marks: No new ones.

Sleep: Good, but I'm staying up super late. I wish I would go to bed, because I am usually tired, but I'd like to spend some time with Mike in the evenings and I've been on my Hunger Games kick and been a mad reading machine! I get short of breath around the night time though...weird, cause I don't really notice it during the day.

Best moment this week: LOTS!!
We had our Anatomy Scan this week!! It was absolutely amazing!! I don't know how long they've been doing these, but they measure just about everything!! We got to see her sweet little heart beating, and all the chambers. We saw her brain, stomach, I think kidneys, her blood flow, eye lens, her lips, fingers, and toes. Probably more and I just can't remember. It was so cool. And even cooler because as I was waiting in the waiting room, I heard my name called and looked up and saw a friend from high school and college, Taylor! I was so excited to see her and she was the one that did the ultra sound. She was so sweet and told us everything we were looking at and printed pictures off for us, which I meant to share on this post but will have to do it later. Thank you soo soo much Taylor!

I mentioned receiving the bedding and some nursery decor last week. Mike and I put the crib together, so we actually have a real looking nursery and it is adorable!! Very bright with just about every color. I will share the nursery in a later post, but here is a little peek...

I have wanted to buy things so bad since I found out she was a girl!  But I have been able to control myself and not buy all the cutest little clothes. And thankfully I did, I know I will eventually buy her some clothes, but a great friend had a sweet little girl almost 3 years ago! So, Sweet Siler has passed her adorable little clothes on to Little Bit! She always had the cutest things, we have everything from preemie to 18 months, with boots, sandals, hats, OSU gear. We got it all! Woo Hoo! So since I have held off in buying clothes, I did buy her her first Bible Stories to read to her. We have the Story of Jesus, the Story of Moses, Adam and Eve, and Noah's Ark. I also got her the Dr. Suess book, Oh Baby the Places You'll Go a while back.

It's also been so great actually having her room put together. We have our office chair in there now, to see if a glider would fit, so I go in there and just sit and read her new stories to her. Remi and Nellie usually come in and lay at my feet while I read. I'm so looking forward to her actually being here and getting to do the same thing!

I have some family and friends that are throwing us some Baby Showers, I'm so excited. Mike and I have planned to register this weekend. I sent out a FB message and got tons and tons of great feedback and ideas. I appreciated all the help. Now I will just have to see what we actually go for!

I was really hoping for some more movement, but I don't think anything yet.

Miss Anything: Still a Dr. Pepper...weird!

Movement: I haven't felt anything since that one questionable movement...or I still just haven't associated anything with her moving.

Food cravings: ICE CREAM!!  I've been dying for my homemade vanilla (Blue Bell, not my own) ice cream with chocolate syrup. But I will usually eat dinner and get to full, so I don't have it. Yesterday I specifically had a very small serving for dinner and went on a walk with Remi and I still felt too full to have it. I even contemplated just having it anyway and being miserable!  But I didn't. So tonight when I got home, I was thinking of what I could have for dinner so I could have my ice cream. So instead, I opted out of dinner and had my ice cream instead!! It was more amazing than ever!! Now I'm getting a little hungry, I still don't know what I will have for dinner, but I will find me something...maybe some Nutella!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, not really.

Have you started to show yet: Yes and the kiddos at work are really starting to ask, before when they'd ask, "Ms. Kelly are you pregnant, your tummy getting big." I had answered in the past, "I don't know" and just smile. Well it is very apparent now. Well one of the Adolescents, that I don't know, came up to me and in a really kinda creepy way, (a kinda weird shriek) "Can I touch your baby?!" I know I couldn't hide my reaction very well and said "what" she did it again and I told her I didn't have a baby yet to be touched. She then shrieked, Oh can I touch your belly? And I quickly said No. She wondered why and begged. So I told her I didn't even know her and she needed to practice positive social boundaries!  Too harsh?? I think not.

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out: Innie

Pregnancy Symptom: Boobs still getting bigger. Lots of Back Pain. My nails are growing like crazy!! Legs are cramping. Wanting to nest. Peeing all the time! Difficulty breathing sometimes. Pregnancy Brain has started to TAKE OVER!! It's awful, I am forgetting things all the time!!

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, Tired, but a-goin!...

Looking forward to: Feeling LB move, registering, starting to have showers, and brainstorming names!

Oh and Happy March Madness!!

Half Way!!!

How far along: 20 Weeks and some!!  Half Way!!!
We have a Banana! About 7 inches, 11 oz!

(Now, since I am so far behind, there has been lots that has happened this week, but I will be writing as if I actually wrote this last Tuesday and then share the rest this Tuesday!)

What I've Learned from What to Expect: LB is practicing swallowing and digesting and I need to start eating lots of different flavors so she won't be so picky like her momma was when she was little, and maybe still today :)
Total weight gain/loss: Possibly a half a pound, we will see if I was just bloated when I weighed or if I am starting to pack on some extra weight.

Maternity clothes: Yeppers, I went to Just Between Friends with mom on Sunday. It was Crazy Big!!  A huge huge huge garage sale like event. I've never seen so many things. But I was able to get about 6-7 capris ranging from $3-$12!! Amazing! And the $12 pair, bran-spankin new, tags still on! I also got a Pottery Barn Chamois Sheet for LB for only $6, they sell for $30.  Amazing, I tell ya! Since it started in Oklahoma, they have several throughout the year. So as I start having showers, I may have to go back and get all the goodies I don't get from the showers. I can still wear several of my own shirts, but I love my pegger shirts!
Stretch marks: No new ones.

Sleep: When I'm asleep, it seems good, but I feel I wake up very often, lots of potty breaks, sometimes still not able to catch my breath.
Best moment this week: We got the bedding and nursery decorations this week!! She has a real room now and it is adorable, I love it so much!  I will share nursery pictures soon.

Miss Anything: Still a Dr. Pepper...weird! and some wine.
Movement: I think so!!  But it is still questionable since I haven't really felt it since. But I was sitting at work doing my paperwork and all of a sudden there was something about an inch below by belly button that was something I'd never felt before. It only last for a brief moment. So hopefully we will have more soon. My friend Amy described her beginning movements as popcorn popping, and looking back on that now, I feel I have had that popping, but just assumed it was gas or something.
Food cravings: Biscuits and Gravy, Nu-tella, fruit, and cheerios

Anything making you queasy or sick: nothing I can think of.

Have you started to show yet: Can you not tell?! :)

Gender prediction: Girlie and I hope she likes brights colors!

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out: Innie

Pregnancy Symptom: Boobs still getting bigger. Back Pain. My nails are growing like crazy!! Legs are cramping. Wanting to nest. Difficulty breathing sometimes. Pregnancy Brain has started to TAKE OVER!!  It's awful, I am forgetting things all the time!!

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, energetic, Though, I know this week I was much more of an emotional mess. I cried for no reason a few times this week, got really upset with Mike for nothing important, poor guy. I feel I can cry at the drop of a hat. Sometimes in the shower I will cry, no reason, but it makes me feel better. Crazy, I know!

Looking forward to: Feeling LB move more, getting the crib together, thinking about registering, starting to have showers,  and brainstorming names!

19 Weeks!!

How far along: 19 Weeks and a few days,
We still have a Mango! About 6.5 inches, 10 oz!

I can't believe I am almost half way!!

What I've Learned from What to Expect: LB's little girl parts are forming and developing, she has over 7 million eggs!! YIKES!!
From our Doctor: She sleeps about every 30 minutes and take cats naps all day...what a life!

Total weight gain/loss: Nada

Maternity clothes: Yeppers, I need to go get some maternity capris...the ones that I was wearing with a 'b-band' are starting to feel a bit snug on my bootie.
Stretch marks: No new ones.

Sleep: Good, Potty breaks have gotten to 3 times a night!  There's been a couple when I feel like its hard to catch my breath...Sometimes, Mike thinks I'm upset because I will breath really hard and he'll ask if I'm okay or upset.
Best moment this week: Going to see Dr. Cox!!! We got to see her again and hear her heart beat...I wish I could record that sound.  Her heart rate is 143 and she was sleeping. Our appt was in the morning and I didn't have my daily orange so she was snoozing. So sweet! Also, we picked up the furniture, so her little room is looking more like a nursery!  Mike said he'd put the crib together, but I'm getting impatient, and may have to break open the box soon! It is so fun and I can't wait to have it all put together to share.

Miss Anything: I'd never been a Dr. Pepper drinker, but Mike has brought it home with take-out a few times and I now have craved that sometimes!
Movement: No, Darnet! :( I'm hoping soon though!! I might pee my pants when it finally does happen though, I'm so looking forward to that! Dr. Cox said she didn't feel anything until she was around 21 weeks but also said, that it can still be later before I may be able to feel her. Which made me feel good because some people say they can't believe I haven't felt anything yet...I think its funny, but some seem to think (and not in a rude way) that you should be doing/feeling/craving/whatever they did when they were pregnant.
Food cravings: Biscuits and Gravy again, Cornbread once and then ended up having a steak instead...which I was nervous about just because, steak had been grossing me out, but it smelled so good and Mike was sweet and told me, "Kell, if you don't like it, there's always McDonald's on the way home." Love him!

Anything making you queasy or sick: My kiddos at work were talking about eating worms today and I thought I could puke...and I wished I could've puked when I ate the whole can of biscuits the other night :)

Have you started to show yet: Oh Yes!

Gender prediction: Aunt Amanda says a little Cowgirl, which our doctor at the appointment a month ago thought a girl. When we went to see Dr. Cox yesterday, LB was a bit more modest since she was sleeping, but Dr. says there's still no evidence of a little boy!

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out: Still an Innie, but a few days ago...not so much anymore...it looked like it wasn't an innie as much, just like it looked like it was maybe getting closer to an outie.

Pregnancy Symptom: Boobs still getting bigger. Niagara's still fallin. Back Pain. My nails are growing like crazy!! Legs are cramping. Wanting to nest.

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, energetic...but this may also be a question I should have Mike answer...he may have a different perception :)

Looking forward to: Feeling LB move, getting the crib together, thinking about registering and brainstorming names!

18 Weeks!

 How far along: 18 Weeks,
We have a Mango! About 6 inches, 1/2 pound!

What I've Learned from What to Expect: LB's legs and arm are now in proportion and moving like crazy! LB also has this 'cheesy wax' now which keeps LB from coming out looking a shriveled up prune!

Total weight gain/loss: Still the Same, but I felt heavier this week, and I feel a double chin coming on! Hopefully not though!

Maternity clothes: Yep and LOVE them! Though today was GORGEOUS and I pulled out some capri's and they still fit without the button.I will definitely have to stock up on maternity capri's very soon for work and summer!

Stretch marks: No new ones.

Sleep: Been good, still wake up on my back and it feels so good! Rolling over and trying to roll myself outta bed is getting a little tricky.
Best moment this week: Going to see 'Aunt' Amanda today and finding out what Little Bit is!!

Miss Anything: Nothing comes to mind right now...I think I will always miss just getting to have a glass of wine for dinner though.

Movement: No, Darnet! :( I'm hoping soon though!! I might pee my pants when it finally does happen though, I'm so looking forward to that! But during the ultrasound today though LB was a little wiggle worm, so there is lots of movement going on, but just not feeling it yet.

Food cravings: Biscuits and Gravy this week, I think I've had it three times in the last week!  May be the reason for feeling heavier, huh? ;)

Anything making you queasy or sick: I think someone was smoking it the stairwell at work the past couple of days, and it has made me want to Gag!  But that would probably make me want to Gag anyway.

Have you started to show yet: Oh Yes!
Gender prediction: Today was actually the first day I had an idea, or more just a hope...I just think it would be so fun to see a little Mikey running around and him and daddy doing landscaping and baseball and golf and all that fun daddy/son stuff

I will reveal the gender either later tonight or tomorrow so stay tuned!

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out: Still an Innie.

Pregnancy Symptom: Boobs still getting bigger. Niagara's still fallin. Back Pain. My nails are growing like crazy!! Legs are cramping again, and I can feel Charlie Horses coming on, but with some great advice from mommas the last time, I will flex my foot when I start to feel one and it usually goes away. But they are super sore and Mike was a sweety and rubbed my back and my calf...yes, it's just one.

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: On top of the World Happy today after finding out, feeling great! And Lots of Energy!

Looking forward to: Feeling LB move, planning the nursery, hearing the heartbeat again, and Remi getting to play with a new baby!

So excited to share the gender with you so soon!  Oh, and Go Cowboys!!

17 Weeks!!

How far along: 17 Weeks, plus a few days
We have a Sweet Potato! About 5.5 inches 5 ounces

What I've Learned from What to Expect: LB's can now yawn. How cute will that be to see on an ultrasound?!

Total weight gain/loss: Still the Same

Maternity clothes: Yep and LOVE them!

Stretch marks: This is tricky...I noticed some of those little pesky marks on my side by my waist...but I know I already had some from long long time ago on my upper legs. So I don't know if these are newbies or ones I've never noticed before.  But I will say I did a close check, so next time I will know if they are new ones...hopefully not too many though.

Sleep: Sleep is good when I'm asleep.  My nightly trips to the little girls room kinda disrupts it though.  Mike is a sawing-logs-snoring-machine (sometimes). Well I normally don't hear him, but once I'm awake, it's hard for me to get back to sleep with him snoring. Sometimes I use earplugs and sometimes I just shake him over and over til he shuts-up.
I'm still waking up on my back, which gets me nervous---apparently sleeping on your back can cause lack of oxygen to the baby---but good news is, I've had several friends let me know that my body will defiantly let me know when not to sleep on my back.

Best moment this week: Doesn't necessarily directly relate to LB, but I had today (Friday) off after having Jury Duty this past week.  So I got to google, search, and pinterest baby things...Oh, mom and I did go piddling yesterday and I got LB a sweet super soft Orange Blanket!

Miss Anything: Nothing comes to mind right now...I think I will always miss just getting to have a glass of wine for dinner though.

Movement: No, Darnet! :( I'm hoping soon though!! I might pee my pants when it finally does happen though, I'm so looking forward to that!
Food cravings: Really wanted Coney Island this week and probably just fruits still.

Anything making you queasy or sick: During Jury Duty, Tulsa County brought in some really funky smells that I had to try to avoid...can't pinpoint what it was, but it was weird!

Have you started to show yet: Absolutely!  Some people are so funny, I know they aren't being rude intentionally, but they will say things like, I mentioned I was a little over 4 months and some comments were, "Oh your already bigger than my daughters who are 7 and 3.5 months." Gee, thanks lady, way to make a pregger girl feel fat!  No, I really don't feel fat!

Gender prediction: Nope, but I did have a Girl Dream this week...Here goes...(you know it's hard to explain dreams, so I will do my best without dragging it on and on) The dream was we had a little girl and brought her home. We put her to bed and for whatever reason, she didn't like the bumpers on the bed---yes I will be the mom along with 1000's others that will be chastised for using those awful baby bumpers---so Mike and I had to take the bumpers off. In order to do this we had to disassemble the entire crib to take those awful bumpers off. When we went to put the crib back together, when we were finish, we had about 2-3 extra parts left, and they looked like really important parts that should be on the crib somewhere, but we didn't seem to care and put Little Bit Girl back to bed and then I woke up.
So, I've now had a boy dream and a girl dream, the heart beat has been 175 and 140, can't seem to eat meats but love my chocolate milk...all which seem to be opposite of what the old wives tales will tell ya about gender prediction. Oh well. I did ask my friend if I could come visit her this weekend to see if she can tell us what we are having a bit earlier than when we go back to the doctor.
Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out: Still an Innie.

Pregnancy Symptom: Boobs still getting bigger. Niagara's still fallin. I feel I can smell anything! Back Pain. My nails are growing like crazy!!  And I've haven't bit them since I found out I was pregnant, go me!

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, feeling great! And Lots of Energy!

Looking forward to: Feeling LB move, Finding out for sure what LB is, planning the nursery, hearing the heartbeat, and Remi getting to play with a new baby!
Hope y'all have a great weekend!  Happy Friday!

16 Weeks!

How far along: 16 Weeks, plus a few days, about the size of an Turnip, 5 inches & 3.5-4 ounces!!

What I've Learned from What to Expect: LB's can now hear us and has reactions to different noises.
Total weight gain/loss: None. Thankfully my belly was already a little on the round side, so LB is just filling it in for me.

Maternity clothes: Yep and LOVE them!

Stretch marks: Nope

Sleep: So wonderful with our new amazing bed!! I actually had one night this week that I didn't even get up for a potty break!

Best moment this week: Going to the doctor and getting to see LB!!  And getting a 'guess but don't start painting yet' gender reveal!

Have you told family and friends: Yes!

Miss Anything: Red Wine this week, Mike and I went to dinner with Casey and Derek and Casey order a glass and it smelled amazing!!

Movement: No, :( I'm hoping soon though!! At our appointment though, we did see Little Bit kicking it's legs and wiggling it's toes, just like mom does!

Food cravings: Probably just fruits still. Oh, and I always think about vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. I've been good and didn't have any, but today I did get some Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream when i was grocery shopping, so excited!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Tosh.O had a segment, that if I just even think about makes me want to gag.

Have you started to show yet: Absolutely! It's funny, cause I feel I've been showing for a long time, but on Thursday, three people at work (all know I'm preggers) and they commented about my belly poking out there. Some the kiddos at work are asking too.

Gender prediction: Still nothing from me.  Doctor gave us an idea, but I think I will save that for later :)

Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out: Still an Innie.

Pregnancy Symptom: Boobs are getting huge, which Mike is loving and I want to cry....And if you've read Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth about Pregnancy and Childbirth, then I can now relate to the Niagara Falls Chapter...And I woke up to my first Pregger Charlie Horse, it was awful and I scared the crap outta Mike. My calf was still sore the next day. I hate those things!

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, feeling great! And Lots of Energy!

Looking forward to: Feeling LB move, getting the nursery cleared out completely...almost done, but still have a couple things that need to find homes and then we can move furniture in! Finding out for sure what LB is and then getting to start thinking of names.  So many people give me a weird look when they ask what names we've thought about and we haven't. Since we are finding out, why do double-duty of thinking of a boy and a girl name, so we are waiting.

And this happened on Friday...What a bummer, huh?!
Thankfully it still works with it's new look.

15 Weeks!

So, my cousin-in-law...is that right?...Mike's cousin, Sarah, is also expecting at the beginning of July, so we are about 3 weeks apart. She gave me a blog, where this one momma-to-be answered the same questions each week and I liked the questions so we will try these. Thanks Sarah!

How far along? 15 Weeks, about the size of an Avocado 4-5 inches!!

What I've Learned from What to Expect: LB's bones in his/her ears are now in place and can most likely hear our voices! Backbone is stronger now.
Total weight gain/loss: None yet! Woot Woot! but I forgot to weigh myself today so I will check back in later

Maternity clothes? Yep and LOVE them!  I don't know why we need to wait til pregnancy to wear these wonderful things! For Christmas, Rick & Mel got me a gift card to Pea in the Pod. They have some super cute things with a really nice price tag too!  But I found most of my things there on sale. With all I got, I was able to earn $70 Bump Bucks. So this weekend I went back out and finished up my Maternity wardrobe at Motherhood. They have equally super cute things with about 1/2 the price! I also got a few new bras...kinda had a freak out moment when the sweet lady working there told me how big my boobs will probably get!

Stretch marks: No

Sleep: Fine, usually up a couple of times to go to the bathroom...but I think I will be sleeping SOO much better with our new purchase!!
Best moment this week: Buying a NEW MATTRESS and GETTING IT TODAY!!! I am so pumped for the most incredible night's sleep tonight!!
Have you told family and friends: Yes! Pretty sure everyone close knows now.

Miss Anything: Steak!  Only because I like mine Medium and they recommend ordering steaks WELL DONE Yuck!

Movement: Not yet... Hopefully SOON!

Food cravings: If I had to pick, probably fruits, still being eating lots of Oranges at work and tonight I really wanted Mac & Cheese, but settled for butter noodles with chicken.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Man vs. Food usually makes me want to throw up because of all the food he eats, but nothing else I can think of...
Have you started to show yet: Absolutely!

Gender prediction: Still nothing from me, Mike, lately has been thinking boy though

Labor Signs: Nope, but can't even think about what that will be like!!

Belly Button in or out: Still an Innie...when does that start to poke out?

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! And Lots of Energy!

Looking forward to: My appointment tomorrow!!  Hopefully we will get to see Little Bit again!

And here is our new purchase!! We got it this weekend and it was delivered today!! Courtney at Mattress Firm, at 71st & Mingo, was wonderful, and we are so excited to sleep in our new Serta iComfort bed tonight!!  With our purchase, we also got to choose two pillows, for free, and we got the Tempurpedic Cloud. Thankfully Mike was there to keep me grounded and stay in our price point, I'm so proud of him for doing that too, because I know I wouldn't have had buyers remorse with what I wanted to get, but it would put a HUGE dent in the finances. Way to go Mikey!

Hope y'all have a great week and enjoy the Super Bowl!! Who will you be cheerin for?

So...

So, if you didn't catch the great news in my last post, the great news is....
There were TWO LINES!!!
There were actually two lines about 4 times!!
So here's the story...get ready, it will probably be a little lengthy, maybe even a little too much info for some, but I think we all now know where babes come from, so I'm not too worried about it :) but we are so excited about our Little Bit!
I knew I had missed the first day of my period...thankfully, I'm pretty darn regular which was Tuesday (the week before Thanksgiving). I didn't say anything yet, and just patiently waited for the end of the week and still no Aunt Flo! So, Friday, Mike was watching the OSU/Iowa State football game with a buddy (and thankfully didn't cause any damage at their house) and I was watching the game at home, just hanging out. As OSU was losing their first game of the season and possible blowing the opportunity at a National Championship Game, I couldn't help but keep thinking about No Aunt Flo.
Okay, now back track a week or so...I had gone to Amy's to have pizza and wine with her and Jen and their babes. They just knew I was preggers then, but like I said I was being patient. They wanted me to take a test that night, but I wanted to make sure if we were or weren't, Mike would be the first to know.  I love my Ames and Jen, but my Mikey comes first! So Amy sent me home with a few pregnancy tests.
Okay, back to Friday evening. I was bummed about OSU losing and just not playing up to par, so I decided to take a test. I had one hiding in under the sink and also had Amy's. I did my thing and watched anxiously. Didn't have to wait too long and I had the absolute biggest smile come across my face!  There were TWO lines! Amy's also showed two lines, that's TWO Positives!! So the rest of the evening as OSU lost, I couldn't think about anything else other than our future Little Bit!
Geez, just writing this brings back, that amazing feeling of becoming a mommy!
Since I was alone, I teetered back and forth between calling Mike or not, then I knew he would be really upset about the game, and thought I might call Amy, then I had heard about someone texting a random number they were pregnant.  I didn't do any of that. I enjoyed that time for myself and our new baby. Something I am so thankful I did, to have just that time for me.

Now, Mike came home late, I was already in bed asleep, but the next morning, he was still mourning about the game and he had to work. While he was out working I went on a mission to find our little bit their first OSU gear. I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to tell Mike. And honestly, I wasn't sure how he'd react. Obviously we knew what could happen and he was okay with it when we talked about it, but I didn't know exactly how he would take it when it actually happened, which it happened pretty fast! So, I left the onesie and a note in the bathroom, knowing he would immediately be showering after work. That way he also got to have his own time in enjoying our new news. Once he got it, he came to the kitchen and said, "Really?" with a huge smile, I said "yep", and his response, (which I love) "Bad ass!"
This is what I left for Mike.

So Mike and I enjoyed our little secret for a bit. We originally thought we'd wait to go to the doctor before we told our families. Well, that went right out the window, when I called Monday morning and the sweet receptionist said, "okay, we'll see you at 10 weeks, which will be December 28th."
I was so sad!! I couldn't believe I had to wait 10 weeks before I got doctor confirmation that we really were pregnant. I guess they did better tests or something. I did mention that this was our first and would we need to come in any earlier, her reply in the sweetest voice, "Oh, Congratulations!"
So, I obviously couldn't keep in such fun and exciting news till after Christmas and Thanksgiving was this week!! Mike and I decided we would then tell them after Thanksgiving.  For me, it was so hard to talk to my family and friends. I normally talk to my mom everyday or every-other day. And I avoided her pretty much all week except on Thanksgiving. I didn't call any of my friends to chat that week. Thankfully it was a holiday week, so it didn't seem too out of the ordinary and Mike's family was in town, so we were spending lots of time with them. That was hard too, Joanna had even made a comment about me not having any wine at dinner one night. I have no idea how I was able to keep a straight face...I'd definitely be one that you'd want to play poker with!
On the Friday after Thanksgiving we were having dinner with Mike's family. I asked him how he wanted to tell them, his initial response, "I really don't want to say anything, I kinda just want everybody to just know." My lovely husband, doesn't like any kind of extra attention. So, I suggested we give  his mom her birthday gift early and we write a note on it, he was good with that. It was fun to share with all his family and celebrate.
On Saturday, we were going to tell my family. I texted mom if her and dad were home because we were going to take Remi over to play with Maggie. Which is weird, because we drop Remi off all the time without calling or anything, so she texted back yep we're here. Well, when we get there, dad was gone, I asked where he was and she said he'd gone to Casey's to help him with stuff. So we gave her the bag with this...
On a side note, this was the first year mom and Rick (Mike's dad) and Doris (Mike's Grandma) had put a grandbaby, or two or three, on their Christmas list.
Funny story, mom first just pulled out the onesie, you know like a child who just looks at the present and doesn't look at the card, and didn't get it, she asked "who do I know that's pregnant that you want me to give this too?" I told her to read the card and she immediately got and of course did her scream that I knew she would do. She was so excited.
Mike had to run some errands, so mom and I went to Casey's to share the news and I gave the same bag to dad, and he knew immediately. Everyone was so excited and it was fun to share with Casey and Sara and Jack and Kira too.

Moving ahead, finally to 10 weeks!! Mike and I went to the doctor and we got our first ultrasound!!! SO AMAZING!!! The doc showed us Little Bit's heart beat and kicking it's feet...unfortunately, Mike and I didn't really see that, but we did see the head for sure!  Definitely felt like Rachel off of Friends! Doc said everything looked great and then she let us HEAR the heartbeat, brings tears to my eyes...the most beautiful sound I've ever heard! Here are a few pictures from Little Bit's first photography session.
This one shows the heart beat. That really thick white dot in the last inch or so on the line is me laughing.
Little Bit's heart rate is 175.

This one shows the head. The brighter white spot is the heart and then there are also two little feet, you'll have to get creative on those, I don't really see them, but the doc said they're there :) CRL means crown-rump length and at this time Little Bit was about 1.5 inches.

Go Pokes Baby!

And now to present time...I am in my second trimester starting today! I think I may start doing weekly belly shots, but we'll see. Yes I did purposely hide my face in this one. So here's the first belly shot.

13 weeks!!
Hope you enjoyed hearing all about our future Little One. We are so excited. I will really try to be better about doing some posts.
Some of my symptoms:
no sickness, yet
only some mild nausea in the first 3-4 weeks
tender breasts
tired all the time, although, not as bad in the last couple of weeks
I do have to make sure I have something eat and something in my belly about every hour or two
No weight gain as of yet
I'm a very light sleeper now...I heard Nellie (all 8 pounds of her) walking on the carpet and woke me up
No cravings
I am easily swayed to foods though, if I see something on the TV or someone talks about a certain food, I will then want it
Couple of food aversions to Chili and Fajitas
I did like calamari, which I hated before pregnancy
