Beat the Bears!

Greatest Homecoming in the Nation!!

So, yes, I'm back from my most wonderful trip to ITALY.  Still trying to catch up on sleep. I finally transferred my pictures to the computer, so I hope to start working on those this weekend.  IT. WAS. AMAZING!  Even though I would love to still be there, I am happy to say that I glad to be back to normal toilets and being able to enjoy watching some OSU Football!  More on my trip later!

Oklahoma State University!  I Love my Cowboys.  Yesterday, some girlfriends and I headed up to Stillwater to enjoy all the wonderful House Decks for Homecoming and of course some O-State Shopping!  My arm is about to wave right off with all the waving wheat I've done while watching the Cowboys beat some Baylor Bears Bootie!  I'm irritated with Blogger right now...I have some more pictures that I tried downloading but it's not really working out for me, so maybe later this evening I will be able to get the rest on here.
This years theme is Where Your Story Began.  The Greek Life did, again, an amazing job at all the House Decks.  Enjoy!
Library ORANGE Fountain!

My Favorite Sign I saw from all the Sign Comptitions!

So I started downloading in the 3rd Quarter and we are now 45 seconds left in the game.  OSU 59 Baylor 24.  Another great Poke Win!

I Love Weekends!

I Heart Weekends!!

Especially when they are filled with fun friends, beautiful weather, patios, football, beer being thrown at you, and good food!

Friday Mike and I went out for dinner and drinks with Derek and Kacy.  We sat out on the patio of Cafe Ole!  They have some of the best queso ever...my dinner was a different story though, blah!  But thankfully, I filled up on chips and queso.  Then we went to Blue Dome District downtown in hopes of trying out Dust Bowl, a vintage bowling ally downtown...they didn't have any lanes available until midnight, so we will try another time.  Then we went to McNellies for a couple of drinks.  I really really don't like beer, but McNellies has a gazillion beers, so I tried a cider beer, it was yummy but too sweet for me to finish.

Saturday, I took Nellie to the vet, she's still a cat, that weighs 8 pounds. We normally see Dr. Mac, but Nellie saw Dr. Townsly, and she thought Nellie looked a little on the light side and asked about feeding. I told her she's been about 8 pounds since we got her, just a little petite girl.  So she checked out just fine.
Then we headed to Chad and Debra for some All Day College Football!  Texas A&M hosted our Cowboys and, I have to say, I was a bit upset in the first half, Mike on the other hand...I thought we'd have to buy new windows or something for Chad and Debra's house...he's very passionate about OSU Football.  Well Chad finally made it home at halftime and got his ORANGE on and the second half was amazing!  Go POKES!!  We beat A&M 30-29, so long Aggies, have fun in the SEC!
We also watched the OU/Mizzou game, and I was sad that Mizzou couldn't keep it up to take home a win in Norman.  But oh well.

So we had lots of fun with game winnings and Mike and I also celebrated a great win for the Yankees!
They beat the Red Sox 9-1 WooHoo!!

So yes, I said weekends are great with beer being thrown at you...on our way home from Chad and Debras, there was this ever so classy, more than likely overserved, guy that kept riding Mike's tail and then as he exited, waving at us with a very nice finger, he threw his can of beer at us and hit Mike's windshield!!  I couldn't believe it and was wanting to jump out of the car and kick some bootie!  Mike on the other hand, I don't really know where my husband was when all this happened, because, he just smiled and said, "We Win".  He was so excited about OSU's win, that even a beer thrown at him didn't bother him. He also told me this morning that he woke up in the night and smiled because he was so happy about OSU winning. He's such a nerd and I love him so much!

Sunday, Mike is playing golf with his buddies and I took Remi to the Dog Park and we had a blast.  It is absolutely a gorgeous day, we went walking, and Remi also played in the creek nearby.  She's worn out now, but we may go on another walk later tonight.  I have beans cooking in the kitchen and am excited about some yummy cornbread for tonight too.

I had a great time in Indianapolis last week and will post about that later. I have a couple of cool pictures to share too.

Oh, I can't believe we leave for ITALY so soon!!!  I've got to start packing!  YAY!  Hope you all had a great weekend and have a great week!

Hugs!

This & That...

Okay, my birthday was August 5th and I turned , what some people refer to as the Dirty Thirty!  I didn't even know what that was...I actually saw some friends post some Dirty Thirty comments earlier, and I had no clue...To me Thirty is great...I don't feel 30, that's for sure.  My friend, Amy and I were talking and we still feel 27...we don't really know why, but 27 seemed to be a good number. So, anywho, I'm still buying myself Birthday gifts...

This AWESOME Bath Mitt came a couple weeks ago and I. LOVE. IT!  Remember, my brother gave me, mom, and Sara (my SIL) spa days...this was one of the things they used and I told myself then that I would be getting me some of these.  They are on the pricey end $25-$35, depending if you buy from Supracor or if you find it on Ebay. But it is worth every penny!  I also got the wonderful Facial Scrubs too!  Both in Magenta!  So fun to take showers and wash my face!

I just ordered this! I was  blog stalking hanging out over at In This Wonderful Life and saw Megan had talked about her new Life Planner, so I checked it out. I think every person needs one of these AMAZING Erin Condren Life Planners!  I mean where the heck were you, Erin, when I was in high school and especially college when litterly, my Mortar Board, was. my. life?!  This woman got in my head and I swear made all of her designs with me in mind!  I feel like it can't get here soon enough!!  The picture below is an example of one of her Life Planners, I got this one, with Mike and I's names on it and the fun things we love.  So excited...she also has a million other awesome things like---to all my wonderful teacher friends---Teacher Lesson Planners, Stationary, Address Books/Labels, Stickers, All sorts of fun fun stuff!
Oh, I got $10 off with the 'Welcome10' Coupon Code...no idea how long that will run for...but if you order now, you will also get the rest of this years months along with all of 2012. Seriously, go check her out!

Moving on to more birthday celebration...Joanna's (my SIL-Mike's sister) B-Day is August 2nd, so we all celebrated with grandparents and all at Bonefish Grill and the waitress surprised us both with these! How fun!
Then on my B-Day, got together again at The Bistro with family...Mike, Me, Granny, Mom, Dad, Sara, Casey
 Mike and my parents
 Me, Mom, and Granny

Later that evening Mike and I met up with our friends at a really cool Wine Bar downtown.  It was a fabulous day!

In other news...

OSU Football kicks off this weekend!!  GO POKES!! We may be going...Rick and Mel are in town for it and we may go with them...still up in the air, but either way, we will be cheerin on our Cowboys against Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns!  Can't even believe Football season is here, but I'm so ready for it.  And, they are saying starting Monday, we are saying good buy to the triple digit weather!!!  WAAHOOO!!

Hope you all have a fabulous Friday and Happy Weekend, can't believe its so late, I'm going to bed!
