Night-time Fun

I went out with my friend Alayna and her friend Allison to play around with some night photography. We started the evening with dinner at The Flying Burrito on Brookside. Allison shared some of her notes and we got aquainted with some new functions on the camera. Then we headed to my All-Time Favoriate Street in Tulsa, Boston St. From this street you can see all the way through downtown...from Boston Avenue Church to the BOK Building. Love it!
So here is what I came up with.

I love the Star Burst Look! All done on the camera, NO editing!!

These are some fun cloud pictures that I took earlier that same day.

We had so much fun taking the Night Pictures, we plan on meeting up every so often to go on Photo Outings. Thanks so much girls, had a wonderful time and learned so much!

Three Years!

My wonderful husband and I just celebrated our 3 Year Anniversary June 23rd. I can't believe it's already been 3 years, time has flown by. Sometimes it's hard to say only 3 years because we started dating in high school. So, technically we've been together for over 11 years! He's the love of my life and I love him more and more each day. This is a picture of us from our trip to St. Lucia in December. It was heaven on earth! They most beautiful place I've ever seen. Hopefully pictures to come soon!

This year, our fabulous cake lady was moving the week of our actual anniversary so she made us our anniversary cake a week early. So we celebrated a week early too! Here are some pictures of our anniversary dinner.

Pasta with Creamy Shrimp

3 Tbsp Olive Oil
3 Tbsp Butter
4-5 Garlic Cloves, Finely Chopped
1 Small Red Bell Pepper, Diced
2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
1/2 Cup Dry White Wine
1 Lb Dry Pasta (We used Fetichinni)
12 Oz Raw Shrimp, Shelled and Chopped
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
Salt and Pepper
Chopped Fresh Flat-Leaf Parsley, to Garnish

Heat oil and butter over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and red bell pepper. Cook few seconds and stir in tomato paste and wine. Cook 10 minutes, stirring.

Meanwhile, boil your pasta until tender but still firm. Drain and return to pan.

Add shrimp to sauce and raise heat to medium-high. Cook 2 minutes, stirring, until it turns pink. Reduce heat, stir in the cream. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

Transfer pasta to serving dish, add the sauce, sprinkle with parsley. Toss well and enjoy!

Class of Twenty-Ten!!

I went to my cousins High School Graduation in Salina, OK. I love going to small town events where everyone knows everyone. Growing up, I went to a large school graduating with over 700. It was so much fun getting to see this small graduating class be so personal. It seemed that everyone got some type of recognition. With 60 graduates, I thought it was so cool that they had exactly 30 boys and 30 girls.
Enjoy!
