Project 365 - September 26th

Project 365, I'm officially 25% complete!!  Wow, I really can't believe it!
Day 88 - Things We Read
Stack of books or magazines...I chose both to represent the things Mike and I read. These are some of my favorites...the Bible-although, I wish I would read it more often, Just about anything by Nicholas Sparks, The Last Lecture by Randy Pauch, (funny story...this book was fantastic!  But it made me cry like a baby EVERY single time I opened the book, anyway, the last night that I finished the book, I cried so hard and so much that my eyes and face were still swollen the next day and people at work asked if I was okay!  So I guess not really that funny, but I make myself laugh!)and Water Dog.

These are Mikes favorite reads...Anything Sports Illustrated.  We keep a lot of them.  When we actually do something with the office, I hope to use some of the favorite covers to frame and hang on the walls.  Some of the covers included today are Oklahoma State, Yankees, Josh Johnson with the Florida Marlins, Olympics, March Madness, and others. I enjoy looking at the pictures and I read a few of the articles, but not many.

So, I had a fun, and yet again way to short weekend.
Friday, Cleaned the scary messy kitchen. Tiff called seeing if anyone wanted to do dinner so we, Me, Tiff, Jen, Alayna, and her husband Michael...we have yet to get all of our husbands together, but when we do, it will be disasterous...they are all Mikes!... met up at Full Moon and enjoyed sitting out on the patio and the beautiful weather.  Then Michael bailed on us and the girls headed to The Hunt Club, which I took pictures at back in August.  Enjoyed a few drinks and headed home.

Saturday, I went to find Pansies and Violas to transform our front flower bed from summer to FALL!!  So, Mom came with me and we, of course, hit our favorite hot spot, Marshalls, found some goodies there.  Then I had a $25 certifiacte to Best Buy, so I found a new Camera Bag...Felt bad, casue Mike didn't get anything, grabbed some lunch at Smash Burger, and then headed home.  Mike met up with some friends at Elm Street, but I was just too tired to go, so that's how I got caught up on all my Project 365 pictures.

Sunday, slept in, picked up a little, opened the windows and turned off the A/C, got all my pretties planted in the flower bed and pots while I jammed to Tom Petty, Amy came by to visit for a while, made a yummy pot of beans and cornbread and had mom and dad over, and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees win!  What a great weekend!

Hope you all had a good one and have a great up-coming week.  I'm excited to see Julie, Luke, and Jackson before they leave and watch the OSU/A&M Game on Thursday and enjoying some Fall weather!!

Project 365 A LOT OF THEM!!

Alright! Here we go...Lots of pictures for my 365 Project.  I have been busy and lazy at the same time and that is why there are so many pictures for this post. Some of these you may have already seen from my Texas Trip, but they are apart of my project.  Enjoy!

Day 71 - Graffiti!!
Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.  I graffitied my name too!  Very fun road side attraction!

Day 72 - One Day Old!
Mr. Jackson!  One Day Old and just precious!  Can't wait to see him again, next week.

Day 73 - The Newest Lil Cowboy Fan
Jackson got to come home from the hospital on Game Day, so thankfully Mom and Dad decked him out in Oklahoma State Gear!  Go Pokes!

Day 74 - Seeing Double?
On my way home from Texas, I saw this double rainbow, so I stopped to enjoy and get some pictures.  The brighter one was almost a full rainbow across the sky!  This also reminded me of the Double Rainbow Song on You Tube.  Check it out here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MX0D4oZwCsA

Day 75 - Wind Turbines

Day 76 - Tiny Toes!

Day 77 - Road to Where?
Have you ever felt like this? I just think it's beautiful that God paves the road for us, but also gives us the choice to make our decisions in his will.

Day 78 - Wind Mill
Saw tons of these on my journey to the middle of no where!  I liked the colors in the sky and the metallic look for the wind mill.

Day 79 - Menus
Went to Baker's Street Pub and Grill for a friends birthday and I liked the way the menu looked so of course I took a picture.

Day 80 - Sand Volleyball!!
Had a volleyball tourney with friends from work....we weren't good at all and didn't win game we played....but we had so much fun!  This is my team...Greg, Jessica, Ruth, Coach Daniel, me, Wicket (our Mascot), and Erin
This is the actual picture I used for the project...

Day 81 - Breakfast!
Egg in a Hole, thanks to Pioneer Woman!  Very Tasty!

Day 82 - Early Morning Moon
This is what a came home to after my Early Morning (5am) Swim, so I pulled out the tripod and snapped away.  I liked this one because of the clouds, it reminded me of Halloween.

Day 83 - Creepy Crawler
This little guy has done a lot of damage and ticked me off!  He is a Horned Worm, not a nice guy, they eat all the leaves off your shrubs and really make ya mad!  You can't see it on him, but he has a horn on his rear end, that is used a defense mechanism because it looks like it could be his head.  It's not, you can see his little creepy crawler hands in this picture.  I didn't kill him, but I did relocate him and sprayed the shrubs, so hopefully he won't come back!

Day 84 - The Love from a Child
This is Mollee, meeting her New Cousin, Jackson, for the first time. I love the emotion in this picture!

Day 85 - No Title Yet (Any ideas?)
I just can't think of a fun title for this one. This little calf was very interested at a distance of the camera. I was taking pictures of some of the other animals, and he stared at me the whole time moving from here to there. So once he got out in some fun yellow flowers he got his turn!

Day 86 - Embrace the Camera
Embrace the Camera is something I found on a blog I follow that promotes you giving the camera to someone else so YOU the photographer can make it in a picture or two!

Mike and I at a wedding.

Day 87 - Do Ya Think My Tractor's Sexy?!
This is one super old....well it looked super old to me....out on the farm.  I'm tellin ya, I could be a little country girl!

Yay for Project 365!

In the Middle of No Where!

So, the pictures are back, blogger has a new system, so I'm still getting use to it.  I like that the pictures are bigger.  Anywho, these are some pictures from what I saw on my trip to Borger to meet that little cutie, Jackson.

HUGE and I mean Triple HUGE wind turbines.  I was making my way through the lovely plains of west Oklahoma and about had a wreck because of these things!  They are enormous and I couldn't keep my eyes off them.  So, of course I pull over on a busy highway and get some pictures.  I have actually seen some of these things being transferred through Tulsa.  I can't get my point across that they are HUGE!!!

In Amarillo, there is one of the Top Road Side Attractions...the Cadillac Ranch!  I don't know who had the bright idea of burying old Cadillac's half in the ground, but I'm glad they did!  Very fun pictures...this one might be my favorite due to what you will see next...

Yes, this child is on top of the car getting his graffiti on!

And my own Graffiti!
Wheat, I think...
Wide Open Spaces!

Are you seeing Double?  I saw a 'vivid and bright double rainbow' on my way back from Texas.  I took Route 66 for most the way and it was so fun to stop in all the little towns I've never heard of before.

Well, of course my favorites are of Jackson, but hopefully you enjoyed my little tour of West Oklahoma and Texas.  As I was driving out there...I kept thinkin, I could so be a little Country Cowgirl, but Mike is too city, so we'll never live in the country (I probably am too, but I'd love to think that I could go rope me some cattle or something!)  It was a beautiful drive and I was really surprised at how beautiful it was.

Project 365 will be up soon...and you'll probably see some repeats from my trip.

Jackson Lancing!!

This is Jackson Lancing.
Proud Parents are Luke and Julie
He was born September 8, 2010
8 lbs 9 oz and 20 inches long
He is the most precious little man I've met. I was so lucky to get to go visit and stay with them. Mom and Dad are doing great, they were a tad tired, but everyone is healthy and well. I am so exctied to get to see them again when they come to Tulsa before they move to Alaska! Enjoy the pictures! They are from the hospital and then when he came home Saturday for game day.
