Project 365 and A Bit of the Weekend

A bit of my weekend...I had a great weekend and of course it flew by super fast.  Went to a sweet and intimate wedding on Saturday morning at Kennedy Mansion.  Then came home and pretty much was lazy and didn't do much.  It was nice!  I was going to take Remi to the dog park but it just never warmed up like they said it was going too, so we skipped the dog park.  I did get a new phone!  So excited!  My oldie was all cracked and held together with duck tape and the battery was complete shot. Then Mike and I met up with friends and the newlyweds at Hard Rock for some drinks and Mike played some poker and kicked some bootie! Today, we slept in and Remi and I went to Target to get her some dog food, and a few other things, then we stopped by Petsmart and said hi to all the cuties for adoption and got her some Gooberlicious Treats, her FAVORITE!
Then we went to the Dog Park because it got up into the upper 70's! WooHoo...but it was a bummer, the dog park was closed!!  It's been closed forever now, I am so ready for it re-open, so we just walked around and then headed to Amy's house where she got to play with Boone.
Most of all we've really enjoyed the cat-fights between Nellie and Jack.  Jack is Joanna's Maine Coon cat! He's huge, although he's on the smaller end of average maine coons.  Jo is staying with us, while she is looking for a new place.  Her house was broken into and the jerk-wads took both her t.v.'s!  This is the second time in two months that they've been broken into.  So she's outta there and in with us.  Back to Jack...Nellie and Jack literally HATE each other. And Jack really wasn't a fan of Remi, but he's warming up to Remi more.  But Nelllie and Jack will just scream at each other and growl and do crazy hisses.  It's very comical for us.

On to Project 365...

Day 242- Kennedy Mansion
The Grand Stair Case at Kennedy Mansion in Tulsa.  Very cool place to see!

 Day 241 - 1948 Dodge Coupe
I think anyway! An awesome vintage Dodge that was used to whisk away the newlyweds! It actually almost didn't start and broke down once on them on the way to the hotel. Gave them wonderful memories as they start their new life together.

Day 240 - ANGRY
This is Jack really pissed off at Remi because she was trying to get her toy off the bed that he was laying on.

He really is a sweet kitty, but he can look really mean.

Day 239 - Geese
Geese Flying

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Also help me support the American Heart Association fight against cardiovascular disease which is the leading cause of death in the U.S.A.

A New Look!

I am so excited for Spring and Summer to get here!  So here's my new look to inspire the Spring and Summer weather to hurry up and come our way!

It finally reached the 70's today so the birds are out and Nellie is trying to attack them through the window while she chirps at them and Remi and I are off to the Dog Park!

Have a good one!

Charity!
I love doing things for charity and I'm actually sad to say, that I haven't participated in actually charity events in a while.  So this year I am participating in the American Heart Association Start! Heart Walk.  It is a 5K walk starting at the new ONEOK Baseball Field.  We will walk through all through historic downtown Tulsa.

I have set a personal goal to raise funds that are needed for critical cardiovascular disease research and education. My goal is $200.

As the No. 1 killer in the U.S. and even the world, cardiovascular diseases impact millions of families, friends and loved ones. I personally know several family and friends who are living with heart diseases.  You can help me by making a donation. You can visit my Personal Page where you can make a secure, tax-deductible online donation or by clicking on the widget on this blog. The American Heart Association's fundraising website has a minimum donation amount of $25.00.

Thank you so much for you support and donations!

Project 365

Project 365 65% Complete!

Day 238 - Tulsa Night Sky Line
Downtown Tulsa Sky Line from the top of my work parking garage.

Day 237 - Power
Public Service of Oklahoma powers all of Tulsa and surrounding areas. I am so thankful for them for keeping our power going during the last snowstorm unlike the 2007 Ice Storm when Mike and I were out of power for 10 days!
I also like the car lights going buy...I know it's a little blurry, but at nighttime without a tripod, I think it's pretty good!

Day 236 - President's Day
In honor of Presidents Day, Old Glory on Riverside in Tulsa at night.

Day 235 - Bargain!
Love shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond! Today I got a heck of a deal! I found a tub pillow that was already 50% off and then I got another 20% off with my fabulous coupon and ended up paying $6.00! Woot! Woot!

Day 234 - Feeding Frenzy!
Since it's been so beautiful outside and I've been seeing flying friends all over the place, so I filled our Bird Feeder.

Day 233 - Time
One of my favorite times of the day! Sunsets! And I love the clouds!

Day 232 - Jelly Fish
When we bought our house (3 years ago), Mike said that a New T.V. was going to come with it...I was really against spending so much money on a T.V.....But I quickly fell in love. So back to the picture....I was flipping through channels and this is a commercial and I thought it was beautiful, so I paused it and took a picture...I don't even know what the commercial was advertising.

Day 231 - Fresh Squeezed
Orange Juice! Mike insisted when we got married to register for a juicer. In four years of marriage, I think we've used it 3 times, and two of those times were this week! Anyway, Mike was ever so grateful for his Fresh Squeezed OJ and I enjoyed it too!

Day 230 - Chocolate Crepes
I tried a new recipe that I thought was going to be really hard and it so was not! Chocolate Crepes and Strawberries from Gina's Skinny Taste Recipe Blog is a hit! Mike and I enjoyed our dessert first tonight! :)

Day 229 - Cliched Valentine's Day
Mike and I really don't do much for Valentines Day...we just hang out and usually have a nice dinner at home...nothing big. Well our grocery store only had Heart Shaped Steaks left, so Mike and I enjoyed our Steaks-O-Love!

Day 228 - Spring is Coming!!
A little birdie told be Spring is coming soon! It was beautiful today and this little guy was talking like crazy...I think he was saying, "Feed Me Feed Me!"

Day 227 - Leading Lines
At my Therapeutic Recreation Conference, one of our sessions was at the climbing wall. So much fun and so hard! I made it all the way to the top and when I came down, I couldn't move my fingers! They felt stuck!

Day 226 - Frozen Water Fall
I actually stopped to get a picture of the creek and as I made my way, I found this beauty under the bridge! Can't believe I got so lucky!

Day 225 - Special Delivery
Remi delivering a card!

Day 224 - Coal Creek
Coal Creek runs by my house in Jenks. So pretty to see it frozen.

 Day 223 - Weather
Still making our way through Snowmegedden!

Hope you enjoyed!

The Groundhog was Right!

Let's just hope it's not a fluke! As many of you know, on February 2nd,  Phil came out and did not see his shadow and declared that there would be an early spring!  Praise Jesus!  I for one, completely forgot all about Groundhog Day and Phil because we were in the middle of Record Breaking Snow Storms in Oklahoma.  I am starting to feel the Spring make it's way in.  Today was absolutely beautiful and I'm so sad I had to work inside ALL day long!  But I did pull out the capri's!  I was so pumped to be able to wear my capri's to work today and I was so happy all day.
It's hard to imagine just in the last 2 weeks, we had over 25 inches of snow (over 40 inches in some areas of the state!!!), hanging out in my long john's, having to get all bundled up with lots-o-layers, spending hours choveling snow, and an 85* temperature change!!  Over 100* change in Nowata... I think...the temp there was  -31 at one point!!!  FRA-FREAKING-FREEZING!!  But today it got up to 70* and was wonderfully beautiful!

And what a great way to spend such a splendid evening...With Mike's Grandma.  Today is her birthday and we (Mike, me, and Joanna-Mike's sister) took her out to Zio's for her birthday dinner.  Then we headed back to her place for cake and chocolate ice cream....mmm mmm good!  Mike and Joanna enjoyed the helium balloons and I thoroughly enjoyed that!  Happy Birthday Grandma Doris!!

A little belated...Happy Love Day!
Hope everyone shared some love with someone on Monday....I shared the day with my kiddos at work, we made valentines and played some Valingo!  (Valentine's Day Bingo) and talked about how we can show our love to others.  Then I got to go to the dentist and had a superb check-up.  I love going to the dentist!

Mike and I don't make a big deal outta Valentine's Day, but we had fun making dinner...a heart-shaped steak...yes that was the only steaks that Reasor's had and yes I took a picture of it, and yes Mike made fun of me for taking a picture of it.  So we enjoyed our heart-shaped steaks with green beans and a baked potato.  I also made dessert...Chocolate Crepes or as Mike liked calling it Chocolate Crepe Myrtle. My husband is a dork and I love him so much for it! I also love that Mike insisted that we have dessert first!  So after dessert, then dinner, we watched the wonderfully romantic movie....Step-Brothers!  I love that movie, I laughed so hard the first time I watched it and it's still so darn funny to me.  We had a wonderful evening.

Hope y'all had a great weekend, Happy Love Day, and a Happy Hump Day!  So glad Friday is almost here!

Share the love, every day, not just on Love Day!

365 60% Complete!

365 Updated!
Some you've already seen in the Winter Storm pics...and you probably see a few more duplicates before it's all done!

60% Complete!  I feel that I can actually see light at the end of the tunnel!  I think I will start getting my 365 book organized soon!

Day 222 - Black or White?
I thought I had a black dog!  Remi loves the snow so much and I love that she doesn't even act like she even knows that there's snow all over her face!

 Day 221 - A Snow Nights Walk
Went on a walk with Dad and all the dogs.  I love the light burst that I was able to get against the beautiful blue night sky.

 Day 220 - Icicle
Caught over 100 pictures of the icicles on my house...it was hard to only pick one! But I love the reflections in the drop from this one and the bursts of light!

Day 219 - Oklahoma's Snowpacalypse!
Febrary 2011 Snow Storm. Record setting over 14 inches!

Day 218 - The Great Divide
Coming home from work today, the sky was completely seperated by the clouds in the sky. Literally as far as you could see from East to West...Divided! Very cool to see!

Day 217 - Snow Time, Play Time!
Took Remi out on several snow outings, but this sweet little boy came over to play with Remi and toss her dummie for her. She is so good with kids, I can't wait for her to have some little Mikes or little Kellys running around with her!

Day 216 - Self-Portrait
Having fun in the snow. Along with majority of the country, Oklahoma was blasted with a blizzard that set new records...in my area over 14 inches and in surrounding areas over 20 inches! It was so much fun!

Day 215 - Snow Storm Necessities
Mike's Necessities!

It was a Red Box night for me, Mike had a buddy in town and they had a guys night, so I rented The Back-Up Plan and Eat, Pray, Love. I enjoyed my buttery buttery popcorn the most! Glad I only spent a dollar on both the movies...

Day 212 - Knots
Knots in my wood fence.

Day 211 - Comfort
I actually took this a couple of weeks ago, but I wanted to share a picture that represented Comfort and I thought this White Pelican shows it well!

Day 210 - Spundz
A thumb size cleaning cloth for your lens...the cloth stuffs right up in the cute little pouch and it clips onto your bag.

Day 209 - Mod.
My new Camera Strap by Mod. that I got with my Camera Gallery Gift Card for Chirstmas! The Blue is so so soft and they have so many fun Camera accessories!

Day 208 - Duck Tape
I love Duck Tape and think its a definate 'go to' to try and fix anything!  Sidenote...I fixed my iPhone screen that cracked with it, just by putting the tape over the crack so it wouldn't crack more and I had SO many people...even people out of the blue...stop and ask me about my 'cover'.  I thought it was so funny that people thought I was making a cool fashion statement with my iPhone and all it was was duck tape! But did you know you can make ALL and I mean ALL sorts of things out of Duck Tape!! This is a very cool bracelet that one of my kiddos at work made and gave to me...she also makes, wallets, shoes, shirts, and bowls! Also, when did duck tape get so pretty!

Snow Pictures Part 1!

Oklahoma's Snowcapalypse 2011!!

It's been a wild few days with the winter storm barreling through majority of the United States this past week. I was stuck at home for two days from work last week...I had a blast though! Thankfully Mike's truck only needed a new Fuel Pump, so he was able to get that fixed and get on the road. It's so much fun driving around in 4-Wheel Drive...my mother would think differently though! She won't even peek her head out the door if it's been snowing...which is really weird because we use to go on Ski trips every year when I was younger.

Well anyway, even though some see this as miserable, like my husband, I have loved it so much.  I love the smell, the look, and the feeling.  Driving down the streets completely take me back to going to Colorado and New Mexico for ski trips.  I've embraced getting to spend all day in my Hot Chilies, making Chili, playing in the snow, watching Remi play in the snow---Nellie once...she hated it and hissed at me the entire way back to the door, snow shoveling the driveway with my husband, and getting a couple days off of work.

Hope you enjoy my Part One of the Plethora of snow day pictures I've taken.  Some of these will be a part of my 365 project.

Super Bowl Sunday, we will be watching with some friends...I don't really have a preference of who wins, but I think Mike is cheerin for the Packers...I'm excited for the commercials and the food!

I like this one because you can see the flakes being blown in all sorts of directions!  The wind was craziness!

Went on a walk with Dad and the dogs and love this picture I got!
