In the Middle of No Where!

So, the pictures are back, blogger has a new system, so I'm still getting use to it.  I like that the pictures are bigger.  Anywho, these are some pictures from what I saw on my trip to Borger to meet that little cutie, Jackson.

HUGE and I mean Triple HUGE wind turbines.  I was making my way through the lovely plains of west Oklahoma and about had a wreck because of these things!  They are enormous and I couldn't keep my eyes off them.  So, of course I pull over on a busy highway and get some pictures.  I have actually seen some of these things being transferred through Tulsa.  I can't get my point across that they are HUGE!!!

In Amarillo, there is one of the Top Road Side Attractions...the Cadillac Ranch!  I don't know who had the bright idea of burying old Cadillac's half in the ground, but I'm glad they did!  Very fun pictures...this one might be my favorite due to what you will see next...

Yes, this child is on top of the car getting his graffiti on!

And my own Graffiti!
Wheat, I think...
Wide Open Spaces!

Are you seeing Double?  I saw a 'vivid and bright double rainbow' on my way back from Texas.  I took Route 66 for most the way and it was so fun to stop in all the little towns I've never heard of before.

Well, of course my favorites are of Jackson, but hopefully you enjoyed my little tour of West Oklahoma and Texas.  As I was driving out there...I kept thinkin, I could so be a little Country Cowgirl, but Mike is too city, so we'll never live in the country (I probably am too, but I'd love to think that I could go rope me some cattle or something!)  It was a beautiful drive and I was really surprised at how beautiful it was.

Project 365 will be up soon...and you'll probably see some repeats from my trip.

He was born September 8, 2010

He is the most precious little man I've met. I was so lucky to get to go visit and stay with them. Mom and Dad are doing great, they were a tad tired, but everyone is healthy and well. I am so exctied to get to see them again when they come to Tulsa before they move to Alaska! Enjoy the pictures! They are from the hospital and then when he came home Saturday for game day.

Tidbit Tuesday

Tidbit Tuesday September 14th
~ Today is my Mom's Birthday! She is one of the most amazing women I know. She gives her whole heart to her family and has become not only mom, but one of my best friends. I love you so much mom!

~ So, for Mom's birthday, I cooked! It's been a while...1.) Mike and I's schedules don't always work out to great for cooking and 2.) I've just been lazy.
So we had some delicious shrimp pasta that you bake in the oven...Thank you Pioneer Woman!

~ I am playing in a volleyball tourney with my work this weekend, so we practiced yesterday, and I am embarrassed to say that the thing that hurts the worst is my thumb/hand area! I even have a bruise!!

">

http://www.theundomesticmomma.com/ I don't know how to make the picture link work to her blog so here is the web link.

I saw this on another blog I follow periodically and thought it fit in well with my Tidbit Tuesdays...so here are my two things I would like to accomplish before the end of the year...

1.) Make a budget and stick to it. I may have to get out my little envelopes that my friend always talks about. It seems to work for her and her hubby, so I'm thinkin I will try it. Some things I'd like to save for is photography, a new truck for Mike, travel time (I'm really wanting to go to Alaska to see Julie and Luke!), a dining table, and maybe some baby stuff...maybe. :) Just to clear the air...no, not pregnant and no, not trying, yet.

2.) Be more physically active. I have started swimming and have been doing well with it. Hopefully, I will stick with it. I can go walking with Remi. And it would be fun to continue playing some volleyball...so maybe co-workers will want to play too!

Project 365 Auguest 31-September 8

Project 365 - 20% Complete...I have to admit though, I have kinda cheated the past 10 days or so, you'll be able to tell with all the OSU pictures. But you gotta share the good ones. Enjoy!

Day 70 - Sports Action!
And the Season has officially begun!! I can completely feel the action of the players and the fans in this one. I especially like how the far 2-3 seem to really pop in the picture.

Day 69 - New Hobby
Most of you know, I started swimming very early in the morning and I am loving it...Remi is helping me show off my new goggles. I just love this picture!

Day 68 - Give a Little and They Tear it UP!
Torn: Little Miss Remi has recently lost her staying inside by herself privileges because this is what we have found recently...
Shredded Important Papers
Shredded Check Book
Mangled Colored Pencils
Chewed Up and Shredded Old Navy Flip-Flop
She's very very lucky that it hasn't been anything TOO important. I guess we'll keep her around, but only in the crate or outside for a while.
I like the angle of this one but the second one, you can really get the idea of what she likes :)

Day 67 - Framed Picture
Framed in the Touchdown! Way to go Kendall Hunter! Final Score for the opener OSU 65 - Washington State 17.

Day 66 - Go Pokes!!
Pistol Pete gets the crowd going at the Season Opener for Oklahoma State University. You'll probably be seeing alot of of OSU these next few months! Go Cowboys!!

Day 65 - Weather
Sunny with some clouds. I'm not 100% happy with this photo, would've liked to see more sun rays and more depth maybe...something. But I do think it is gorgeous. Clouds like this with the sun shinning through always makes me think of our Gracious Creator, reminding us that He's always there for us, even if we might be hiding for Him.

Day 64 - Leaving on a Jet Plane
Getting Casey off on the "Big Metal Bird" as he has called it before, back to Japan and then on to Afghanistan in the next month. His visit was great...too short, but we look forward to his homecoming in June/July 2011. Prayers for Casey and all of our Military Men and Women who so bravely protect you and me.

Day 63 - Yikes! Spider!
Yellow Spider....that's gotta be bad right? He was sitting next to me on my parents back patio. So I of course go and grab the picture taker and snap away. I am really mad at myself, because I accidentally deleted the best picture of him...but this is the next best. I also like the detail of the web.

Day 62 - Indoor Waterfall
This is from the Oklahoma Aquarium, the turtle exhibit, from my High School Reunion. I like how you can see the water actually falling.
Hope you enjoyed! Have a great weekend...I will be visiting my dear friend Julie and Luke and thier new son Jackson, in Borger, TX this weekend. Hopefully Mr. Jackson likes the camera as much as I do!

Catching Up! Long Post but some pictures to go with it!

Okay, well I'm catching up a little now...I feel that I've been super busy, but don't really have a lot to show for it. Project 365 will be up hopefully tomorrow before I go outta town, OSU opening day will be up later too!
Casey, My Brother, The Marine
Casey's trip into town was great. We got him off last week. It was so wonderful to see him, almost brings tears to my eyes that he's gone back half-way across the world to Japan. While he was here, we had several dinners made by fabulous mama C, a huge family get-together at Granny's with aunts, uncles, and cousins. Wonderful times. He and Sara, his wife, and her two children also had a mini-get-away to Kansas City to visit Worlds and Oceans of Fun. His stay was too short but look forward to his next time off in June or July 2011! Believe or not, these are the only pictures I got while he was in town. The stinker wouldn't take family pictures or just for fun pics, so these are what I got!
Dad, Case, and Mom
I just loved Casey's smile in this one, even though the picture is a little blurry.
I alway like B&W, but the color gets me too!

Walking to the gate...

And for kicks...his fur kiddos...

Jenks High School Reunion Class of 2000

Can't believe it's been 10 years since I graduated high school. I don't really feel that much older, but my goodness gracious the wonderful things that the 10 years has brought me...OSU fun times, Pi Beta Phi fun times, meeting some new best friends, rekindling old best friends, working for Party Pix, buying my first new car, moving to OKC---not one of my favorite places to live, but I loved the people there!, having my first real interview-that I rocked! then starting my first big girl job, moving back home to My Love after he proposed, getting another new job, getting married, buying our first home, getting our own pets, travels - Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas for our Honeymoon, St. Lucia in December '09, and Family Cruises, finding new passions-photography and SCUBA diving for two, and so so much more! It's been a fabulous 10 years and I have been so very blessed with all that the Lord has given me.

So with that said...I wasn't going to go to my High School Reunion! For multiple reasons that we don't need to get into. Lots of friends were mad at me for not going, but it just wasn't working out for me. Until the day of, my very best friend of all time, Ms. Amy Sue, had been calling me all the week before and that day. Finally she called and said, 'get your booty over to my place, I have dresses for you to try on, you're going tonight weather you like it or not.' So at 4:45, I grab my make-up, curling iron, and a possible dress to wear and head her way. Get over there, Amy and Amanda dress me and Amanda does my make-up and I tried to do my hair, but it just wasn't in the mood, and had some wine and off we went to the reunion. I'm so glad that Amy talked me into going. I had a great time and got to catch up with some old friends that I haven't seen in a long time. Thank you Amy! I love ya so much!

Me, Amanda (friends since 1st grade), and Amy (friends since 8th grade)
Amy and I, I feel like we were really back in 8th Grade takin pics with no worries in the world.
At the Aquarium

Kansas City, MO
Mike, myself, Derek, and Kasey headed to Kansas City for some fun times. For Mike and I, it was a late anniversay gift to ourselves. We went to the Yankees vs Royals game and it was phenomenol! Power and Light District was so much fun. Friday night was great, because, I guess that's not a popular night to go out, so I am always game for no crowds and gross people all in my bubble! We also had some fabulous BBQ from the famous Jack Stacks. Kansas City is now one of my favorite places to visit. We are planning on possibly going to a Chief's game so we can go back! I promise that pictures are coming...there are so many of them I am trying to sift through and pick the favorites. And I'm not a huge fan of the way blogger uploads pictures...it takes for freaking ever!! Anyone else have this problem or a solution?

My best friend from college, Julie, had her baby today!! So happy birthday to Mr. Jackson! Julie and Jackson are doing great and Proud Daddy Luke is so excited. I am so excited because I am heading to Amarillo, TX tomorrow morning to go see them and meet the little man. Pictures to come!

Rise and Shine!

Yes, I started this post around 6:30... In. The. Morning!
Rise and Shine Swimming is on a roll! It's a small group of adults who enjoy swimming at 5-6 in the morning on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I've been twice now and so far am loving it. It is still a little hard getting use to the the Rising part! But, once I'm there, I feel great. Today I actually came home, showered, and started a load of laundry and started this post!! Already so productive! Wednesday morning, I got home, showered, and went back to bed. Felt amazing to take a nap at 6:30! So today, I will probably be pooped out by noon. We'll see, I hope not because we are going to see a friend tonight who is in town.
So, in order to help get me motivated to get my booty up in the middle of the night, I got me some new swimsuits, you know to help me swim faster! Ha! I feel like I basically stole them from Nike, because I went to the Fabulous Marshall's and got a fantastic deal on both of these! The first one is similar to the one I got, I couldn't find a picture of it, but on the Nike website, it was listed for $74...Yikes! Marshall's, yesterday was clearances for $7!!! Yes, only one digit!!!
