Week 2 Project 365

Day 12 - Optical Illusions
This was lots of fun! I know it's not the greatest picture, a little blurry, but it's fun to think of my car as a little tinker toy!

Day 11 - Church
This is Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, the Church we go too and the Church that Mike and his family grew up in. It is absolutely beautiful and a must see if you are in the Tulsa Area.

I do have to say that I cheated on this one though...I had full intentions of taking a picture of the church after the service on Sunday, but completely forgot...so instead I took it after work on Monday :)

Day 10 - Theme of Three
Today I was looking for something that represented the number three. My mom got me these monkeys and it caught my eye.
See no Evil, Hear no Evil, and Speak no Evil.
I try to think that this is My Bubble's Motto, those of you that know me, know my bubble is pretty thick!

Day 9 - Bought!
These are our Yankees vs. Royals ticket bought and in the mail. We are going to Kansas City with some friends in August and so excited! We got really lucky (we think) with these tickets...they are field level right behind home plate! We had looked at several websites for tickets and they pretty much were all over $100 a ticket and not as great seats...so this night, we went to the Royals website and WoW! Play Ball!

Desserts!

Day 7 - Peachwave!!
I absolutely love this place. It is a self-serve frozen yogurt place. They have like 16 different flavors and all the toppings you can imagine! It's the best ever. My best friend, Amy, had never been before so we went on a dessert date and had Peachwave, then headed over to Smashburger for some dinner! I love breaking the rules and having dessert before dinner! Thanks Ames, had a blast tonight!

Day 6 - Smores
Mike and I shared some Smores for dessert this evening. It was funny because we thought we'd lost the chocolate bars. I looked everywhere for them and then had Mike look for them. We really thought, did someone take our chocolate bars??!! Then, I remembered, and looked in the Graham Cracker box and Poof, there they were!!
Yummy Yummy!

Well, I have completed a whole week and am so proud of myself. 51 weeks left to go! It's been fun getting this project started. Thanks for sharing it with me.

Project 365

Alright, continuing on with my 365 Project....

Day 5 - After the Celebration
I was able to get this shot of the left over cigars that they guys had from the 4th because my lovely husband locked me out of the house! No, he wasn't being mean, he was actually going to get us dinner, I'm thankful that he has the habit of always locking the doors, just not when I'm outside when he leaves :). Thankfully I had my camera with me, so it wasn't so bad.

Day 4 - 4th of July! Fireworks!!
This was Mike's favorite picture from my Fireworks shots.

Day 3 - Reflection
This is Remi in my rear view mirror. We were going on a car ride and she loves putting her head out the window.

Day 2 - Lists
This is my Find-It Tube at work. I play this with my kiddos at work and they love it, I think as much as I do! When I need some quick time to release some stress, I try to find my missing pieces...I'm still looking for the Hidden Penny...I really think they forgot to put it in my tube, the Marble, and the Candy Cane.

Project 365 - SWIRLS

Well, I'm starting yet another new project. It's called 365 Project...it's a challenge to take a picture everyday for a year. I am starting today, July 1. It is my hope (and long-term goal), that in a year, I can give myself a birthday gift of a book of all my pictures throughout the year that I take. My initial goal is to make it through an entire month. It will also give me the opportunity to practice. So here we go...

My first picture to start out this fun challenge is

SWIRLS!!!

I just love swirls and I just so happen to being walking around the yard today and my neighbors have some type of plant...mom thinks it's a Squash Plant, and the swirlie's caught my eye and so the challenge begins.

I may not post the pictures daily but, do expect to see them weekly. If you have any fun ideas of pictures to take send'em my way.

Night-time Fun

I went out with my friend Alayna and her friend Allison to play around with some night photography. We started the evening with dinner at The Flying Burrito on Brookside. Allison shared some of her notes and we got aquainted with some new functions on the camera. Then we headed to my All-Time Favoriate Street in Tulsa, Boston St. From this street you can see all the way through downtown...from Boston Avenue Church to the BOK Building. Love it!
So here is what I came up with.

I love the Star Burst Look! All done on the camera, NO editing!!

These are some fun cloud pictures that I took earlier that same day.

We had so much fun taking the Night Pictures, we plan on meeting up every so often to go on Photo Outings. Thanks so much girls, had a wonderful time and learned so much!

Three Years!

My wonderful husband and I just celebrated our 3 Year Anniversary June 23rd. I can't believe it's already been 3 years, time has flown by. Sometimes it's hard to say only 3 years because we started dating in high school. So, technically we've been together for over 11 years! He's the love of my life and I love him more and more each day. This is a picture of us from our trip to St. Lucia in December. It was heaven on earth! They most beautiful place I've ever seen. Hopefully pictures to come soon!

This year, our fabulous cake lady was moving the week of our actual anniversary so she made us our anniversary cake a week early. So we celebrated a week early too! Here are some pictures of our anniversary dinner.

Pasta with Creamy Shrimp

3 Tbsp Olive Oil
3 Tbsp Butter
4-5 Garlic Cloves, Finely Chopped
1 Small Red Bell Pepper, Diced
2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
1/2 Cup Dry White Wine
1 Lb Dry Pasta (We used Fetichinni)
12 Oz Raw Shrimp, Shelled and Chopped
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
Salt and Pepper
Chopped Fresh Flat-Leaf Parsley, to Garnish

Heat oil and butter over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and red bell pepper. Cook few seconds and stir in tomato paste and wine. Cook 10 minutes, stirring.

Meanwhile, boil your pasta until tender but still firm. Drain and return to pan.

Add shrimp to sauce and raise heat to medium-high. Cook 2 minutes, stirring, until it turns pink. Reduce heat, stir in the cream. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

Transfer pasta to serving dish, add the sauce, sprinkle with parsley. Toss well and enjoy!

For dessert, Italian Cream Anniversary Cake with Cream Cheese filling and Buttercream frosting!! AMAZING!

Mike and I plan to take a weekend trip to Kansas City in August to celebrate. We are going to the Royals/Yankees Game and out and about on the town . Go Yankess!

Class of Twenty-Ten!!

I went to my cousins High School Graduation in Salina, OK. I love going to small town events where everyone knows everyone. Growing up, I went to a large school graduating with over 700. It was so much fun getting to see this small graduating class be so personal. It seemed that everyone got some type of recognition. With 60 graduates, I thought it was so cool that they had exactly 30 boys and 30 girls.
Enjoy!

Chad giving his mom a rose.

Woo Hoo!

Definately not something we were able to bring to our graduation! Silly String!!

My Granny just glowing as she holds her great-great grandson, CJ.
